About me

I am a communications and marketing professional based in Adelaide, South Australia with more than 20 years’ experience in media, event management and public relations across the arts and creative industries.

With a background in strategic communications, storytelling, media strategy, publicity and audience engagement, I am skilled at cutting through the noise, finding the story and communicating clearly.

Over more than a decade I worked as a journalist and editor, crafting news stories, features and opinion columns across The Advertiser and Sunday Mail and freelancing for publications including Elle, Cosmopolitan, Cleo and Australian Women's Weekly, before moving into senior arts, culture and industry PR and marketing roles.

Through my own communications consultancy I have managed communications and publicity campaigns for top South Australian organisations including the Adelaide Festival, Adelaide Festival Centre, Tasting Australia, Feast Festival, Events South Australia, SALA Festival and Windmill Theatre Company, as well as for Adelaide Fringe artists and performers.

As Head of Communications and Marketing at the South Australian Film Corporation (SAFC) I lead strategic narratives and events that elevate South Australia's screen sector and highlight State Government support for it, promoting South Australian projects and talent across film, television and digital games and driving awareness, engagement and growth for SAFC initiatives and activities.

Just as comfortable behind a microphone as I am behind a desk, or at a Board table, I’m also an accomplished MC, presenter and event host and enjoy regular spots on ABC Radio Adelaide as a commentator and contributor.

I am deeply passionate about the arts and creative industries, and championing local talent. I enjoy collaborating with creative people to help get good ideas off the ground, and making sure strong work gets seen and supported.
